Chemical Entities of Biological Interest (ChEBI) is now available in MatPortal with class browsing, hierarchy and search results, Annotator and Recommender support, and a downloadable chebi_lite.owl file.
Chemical Entities of Biological Interest (ChEBI) is now available in MatPortal. At launch, submission 1 (version 253) reported 237,672 classes, 9 properties, zero individuals, and a maximum depth of 23; its loaded ontology graph contained 2,622,516 triples. Users can open classes and follow parent and child relationships from the ChEBI ontology page. These counts describe the launch snapshot and may change with future submissions.
ChEBI is available in MatPortal class and property search, Annotator, and Recommender flows. In launch checks, a class search for water returned ChEBI results, a tested property query returned a ChEBI result, the Annotator returned a ChEBI annotation for water, and the Recommender included ChEBI for the same input. Results depend on the submitted term, so not every query is expected to match.
Use the download action on the ChEBI page to obtain the ontology for local tools and workflows. At launch, both public download routes returned the same file named chebi_lite.owl, with a size of 183,886,062 bytes. The file and its size are a launch snapshot and may change when the hosted submission is updated.
